A "Yummy" Quilt

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of events.
Tonight I am tired, and somewhat ready to settle down.

My Sis went home this morning, and as always it leaves me feeling a little blue.
Before she left we enjoyed a big family breakfast together at my Mom's house.

After saying our good-bye's to each other, Beth and I headed up to Paradise to
for some fabric/quilt shopping.
The weather today was cold and gray and I was glad when I finally got home
to have a cup of hot tea and enjoy a warm fire.

This is the quilt pattern/colors I am using for Kristina's quilt.
This pattern is "Yummy"
by Jaybird Quilts

This quilt will be a lap size when finished.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and it will be the first 'real' Sunday in a long time. As I mentioned yesterday, Caveman will be returning to work on Monday.
Tomorrow's plans, hopefully, will consist of a early morning trip to the grocery store, and then just hanging out at home relaxing and enjoying our last day together.
I do plan on getting somewhat organized so that I can possibly start sewing on this quilt either tomorrow or Monday.
My other goal for the next few weeks is to have dinner ready by 4 O'clock ish.
I'll try to plan Slow Cooker meals.

Typically, I'm not one for making resolutions (why set myself up for failure),
but this year there are a few things I would like to improve on...
1. Be more understanding.
2. Live a more simple life.

  2. Good Evening Becka, I love the name of the quilt you are going to make....Yummy sounds just perfect and the colours are beautiful aswell.
I enjoy holidays when family visit, but I also enjoy the quiet routine of my life when everyone has returned home, apart from my daughters that is, as I don't see them enough as they live abroad. Is that my age? I wonder, you know I think it is!
I love how you call your husband Caveman as my husband George has a den where he keeps all his judo trophies and cowboy memorabilia, well really all the things he has collected during our marriage and he will say "I'm off to my cave"....maybe I should call him caveman aswell!
Have a lovely day. Best Wishes Daphne

  3. The quilt is lovely and Yummy is a great name. I am so sorry you are sad about your sister leaving. Hopefully you will see each other soon. I am really enjoying the quiet time after the holidays. It was quite hectic. Take care of yourself, from your newest follower.

    1. Hi Linda-
Thank you for following along with me!
Today was a much quieter, relaxing day.
I will be visiting your blog first thing tomorrow morning, so we can get to know each other a little better.
Right now it is off to bed for this tired lady....
      See you in the morning.
